(a) Any Computer Science student of Egerton University shall be eligible for membership of the association and shall, subject to the approval of the executive committee, become a member up on payment of membership fee of Ksh. 100.
(b) Every member shall pay a subscription fee of Ksh. 100 per semester not later than the second week of the semester.
(c) Any member after the completion of his or her studies at Egerton University shall automatically become an associate member.
(d) Any member desiring to resign from the association shall submit his resignation letter to the Secretary General, which shall take effect from the date of the receipt by the secretary of such notice.
(e) Any member may be expelled from the membership if the executive committee so recommends and if general meeting of the association shall resolve by a two-thirds majority of the students present that such member should be expelled on the ground that his conduct has adversely affected the reputation and the dignity of the association or that he has contravened any of the provisions of the constitution of the association. The executive committee shall have power to suspend a member from its membership until the next general meeting of the association following such suspension but notwithstanding such suspension, a member whose expulsion is proposed shall have a right to address the general meeting at which his/her expulsion is being considered.
(f) Any member who resigns or is removed from membership shall not be entitled to a refund of his subscription or any part thereof or any money contributed by him/her at any time.
(g) Any member who falls into arrears with his semester subscription for more than one semester shall automatically cease to be a member of the association and his/her name shall be struck off the register of members. The executive committee may, however, at its discretion reinstate such a member on payment of the total amount of subscription outstanding.
